From that list, Rise of the footsoldier would be my first one to watch.

I also liked lock stock and snatch myself.

    Thanks to burner1

You don't have to stick with Winstone if you're after Brit films that make you feel a bit on edge.

    Room For Romeo Brass
    Dead Man's Shoes
    TwentyFourSeven
    Raining Stones (a bit grim)
    Fishtank (also a bit grim)

Nil By Mouth is a good shout.
44 Inch Chest was shite so avoid that one if you're after a Winstone fest.

    Thanks to Zoots

Agreed they should be top of the list if you've not seen them, I'm not a Winstone fan so can't recommend any films with him in, I watched the Sweeney and thought it was lacking.

But as Burner1 said 'Lock Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels' then 'Snatch' should be your first brit films to watch.

    Fixed that for you!

Any 'This Is England' film/series are awesome and powerful.

I also loved Dead Mans Shoes.

I enjoyed the 'Wilderness' and 'Dog Soldiers'

I wouldn't call it a 'Brit Flick' per se, but I've been watching the series of 'Boys from the black stuff' on Youtube today.

I can't believe some of the shite you slags are recommending. Here's the only British Gangster films worth watching:

    Get Carter
    The Long Good Friday
    Sexy Beast

    That's it.

I do, but I can put up with the caaaants for 90 minutes if they can act and the script is ok. The Long Good Friday is probably my favourite of the 3 as it shows how beautiful the young Pierce Brosnan was.

The rise and fall of a white collar hooligan was a great brit flick.
