Default Which news provider do you use?

Just checked my paypal and I'm paying £10 a month to Newsdemon. What does everyone else use?

I use usenetbucket, went to them from tweaknews and gets me all I need, obviously you need to be fairly quick
with popular tv like most providers but it never slows and is always doing the speed they promise.

also after my first month they sent me offers and I got a 40meg unlimited package and after the discount it cost
    me £35.10 for the year.

Why does "fat chance" and "slim chance" mean
    the same thing?

I've been using astraweb for 5yrs + & it very rarely lets me down. I currently pay $15 every two months for the Unlimited DSL plan - that's about £4.46 per month.

For the amount I get from newsgroups these days I am purchasing non expiring block plans. In the last six months I would have spent around £30 even on a low usage monthly plan. My 50gig block plan cost me around £6 six months ago and I still have 25gig left. I do however have a couple of unlimited file hosting accounts that are costing me around £10/month each so what I should be doing is finding a decent news indexing service and switching back to a news hosting monthly account. Since Newzbin disappeared I haven't found anything that fully suits my needs. (">

Astraweb, same as pattikins. Plus SSLNews block as backup. Add to that a free XSNews account.
TBH Astraweb is all that I've used/needed for nearly 10years.

Tweaknews here, they're notoriously slow for takedowns

Works out at around £7pm for 50mbit unlimited.

I signed up to Tweaknews for 1 month and when it expired they emailed me an offer with some better prices than what is quoted on their website.

Might be worth doing that to save you a few quid.

I'll dig out the email and prices when I get home for you to compare. I don't know if the link is specific to my account or not but if it looks like it isn't I'll send it on.

newsdemon after switching from astraweb a few years ago, great service but not the cheapest, allows you to use non-standard ports
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.
