    Default Polkast

So off the back of my other recent thread for a network music player I have started to upload CD's onto my nas, its a zylex 310.

Im hoping someone else uses and can guide me in the right direction as im having a few niggles

    Problems i'm having are

    • Not all albums show, those that don't show seemed joined together in one massive album entitled other album - They are individual on the nas and MP3
    • Some albums show with title art and others don't - Any idea's why
    • Some multi disc albums show disc 1 and disc 2 seperatly and others are lumped together as 1 album

I guess its something to do with the way they have been ripped or settings on them or polkast but ist driving me insane as I can see it does what i want but wont be consitent

I tried Polkast and never got far... That coupled with the fact that they are now charging for a service that never worked for me....

Is your 310 plugged into a server that is always on? If so I recommend Subsonic. It is free (although I donated for the extra features) and it is fantastic! I listen to my music at work via a browser and on the phone via the app (was £2 or £3). The app will cache the music onto your phone also.
If you have no server on 24/7 then it could be a good reason to get a Raspberry Pi and have that serve as the Subsonic Server?

if you fancy messing about with the 310 then I believe that you can load Subsonic directly onto it. I have not tried yet as I have it all set up nicely as it is.

I bet if your employer blocked DF your output would increase 10x

I wonder if your post should actually be counted as a post towards your total.. It is hardly on topic or useful. Maybe you should get a job.

As for work they have started to block some sites... funstock.co.uk for example.. I was checking daily for the retron 5 and they have stopped that now as it is classed as 'Games'
But, I have tapatalk on the iPhone so they could not stop me from spamming DF for long.

They have not stopped access to my Subsonic server though, even if they did I would change the port number to get around it.
