Photos Lavender for the bath! (Still Life)

I won one of the prizes at the camera club Christmas Social raffle.

Thanks to whoever donated it - cos it has 2 uses. The wife and daughter get to use its contents on the inside, and I get a still life subject to have a go at.

I draped a crinkley cloth across a table and placed 2 of the bottles on it, one on its side with the crystals carefully "tapped" out of the neck. I laid the lid near it, and placed a second bottle just behind.

The light was diffused by drawing the curtains, and I bounced a flash off the ceiling. In post processing I had to clone a bit of the flash light out of the glass, and then added a guassian blur layer, and a vignette, before flattening down.

    * So here is the finished product...

    Opinions always encouraged.

    Paul.

Looks smart mate, i recon if you'd moved the lid to the left a bit then it would have looked even better

Nice idea and composition. Can't comment on the lighting as this monitor I'm using in work (yes, I have to feckin work till midnight tonight.. pff! ) is shit so everything looks flat and dull.

Will have a look on my own monitor when I get home.
