    Default Ed Miliband

Ed Miliband is the new Labour leader, I wonder what dark deals were done with the Unions. . . . .

Good to have him actually . He'll be perfect as the Unions are weakening and he'll provide a good back up for them. He wont be there when Labour get back in thou, but hes perfect opposition at the minute tbh.

I wouldn't believe everything you read in the press, the real criminals are those that seek to fleece shareholders, enrich themselves and fatten up their pension pots whilst laying off hardworking employees to cover their greed and incompetence. People don't one day decide to strike out of the blue, it's usually because they are being shitted upon by management and are quite literally at the end of their tether. The tabloid press have done a stellar job of demonising even the most moderate unions, which is ironic consider most of their readers are drawn from the working classes.

GTI's got it right & when I heard the headlines yesterday I said out loud what a fucking prick. The headline was "Ed Milliband wants to represent middle England & doesn't want the unions support."

I'm not in a union nowadays but I'd like to say to Edd - bye.

Once again I'm going to pull age on most of you, I was working (or trying to work) through the 70's in a Country brought to it's knees by unions, I started work in a company and HAD to to join the union because it was a closed shop. The Unions have just voted in the leader of the Labour Party, how is that right?

I agree that some union leaders abuse their power but still think that they are needed, maybe more than ever over the next few years.

I was also at work in the 70's and can honestly say that my children are working harder and longer than I ever did at their age.

How would everyone feel if the CBI had the power to vote in the Conservative Party leadership elections?

Were the CBI founding members of the Conservative Party and do they fund the Conservative party?

If yes then I would feel OK if they did.

I would definitely agree with this, with my sodding Blackberry (and the expectation it brings) I've become a 24/7 wage slave. If I miss an important issue as it breaks in any of our 100 other office worldwide, it doesn't look too good. Stress levels, and the time to relax after work is also on the rise. And all the time people are cheerfully giving up their last vestiges of employee rights. Lets not forget that without the workers, there would be no companies.

Who gives a fuck ? He certainly won't be PM at the next election.

New party leaders after losing a general election never are as far as I can remember.

Both of them are fucking toffs anyway and in no way represent the working class.

Regardless of whether he will or won't be our next PM, I think its important to have a strong leader of the opposition to hold government to account and provide the verbal fireworks during PM Questions... especially since that won't be coming from the LibDems anymore.

As far as I'm concerned both are cunts and not upto the job.

This was purely a popularity contest and not who is best qualified to do the job.

Ever since Blair parties think the solution to being elected is to provide young candidates.

It just shows how shallow people are.

Fat,ugly cunts like Winston Churchill wouldn't get a look in in this day and age.

Too much X-factor syndrome in today's media.
