    Xbox 360 Re-flashing my 360

I have a 360 which was flashed by someone about 3 years ago, i have just got it out of the loft to find it had the 3 red lights, I have now fixed that myself successfully, Now i am looking to aquire some new games, the question i want to ask is do i need to re flash it will the newer games work on it?

Secondly how easy is it to do myself? and can u flash it incorrectly and brick the console?

ok yes that can be jtagged, I would say try and get it done as its a shame to waste one (they are getting rare). It does involve soldering and can be quite daunting at first but its well worth it.

Heres a guide so you can take a look at whats involved:

    https://docs.google.com/View?id=dnfmv5h_30dw33vpf4

just a word of warning don't ask for it to be done by someone on here as that is not allowed (pm is ok though i think)

ok cool thanks, what are the benifits of actually getting it J-tagged? also i dont own a soldering iron so i will have to try and locate one off someone.

So just out of interest i can play my backup games already so does this mean that i have had my drive flashed? and if so does this mean i could play the newest backups already or do i need to do something else to it??

you can install the games you own to an external usb and play them all off there, don't go near xbl, or accept any updates it'll update it and kill the hopes of jtag.

sorry yeah quick overview of jtag perks:

    free xbla games
    free dlc
emulators - systems so far gg,sms, mega drive, snes, mame...
play games from hdd with no disc in
    any size hard drive

yes your drive is flashed but depending on what firmware it has it wont play the new wave games - warning though if you get a new game to test it will update the dash so you won't be able to jtag it

yeah sorry as prezzy said, you could just update to latest dash and update the drive firmware if you just want to play the new games. Just would be a shame to waste an exploitable/jtaggable box.

or if you bottle it and dont want to update your firmware you can use a wave patcher to patch all the newer games

You do need the latest dashboard for Games to run if you've patched them.

Get it Jtagged though, so much better than a flashed console.
