I've seen plenty of talk on the whole issue of BT Sports so thought I would make a post to summarize what's going on and dispel any rumors. Hope this is of use. If you have any questions let me know as I know quite a few people that work for BTTV.
Cost
Free to watch live if you have BT Infinity, to your BT Vision or BT YouView box
Free to use the web app for both BT Infinity AND BT Broadband customers
On Sky it's free if you have BT Broadband or BT Infinity as your internet connection (Order here : https://www.productsandservices.bt.c...N&vendorid=AJM)
On Sky if you don't have BT Broadband or BT Infinity it is £12 a month subscription with a one off £15 activation fee (Minimum 12 months - see caveats)
Order before August 1st 2013 and get a years worth of HD programming for free (£3 a month thereafter)

BT Vision/YouView - (Now called BTTV)
With BT Vision you can pay an extra £20 a month for access to Sky Sports. You CANNOT get Sky Sports on YouView boxes (yet!)
Web Player
If you are a BT Broadband customer you can stream the BT Sports channels to your PC for free
Caveats and Gotchas
Ordering BT Sport if you have BT Broadband will set you up with a new 12 month subscription to the broadband so you can't get BT Sport for free and then just change providers. If you move providers at the end of the 12 months you will also lose BT Sport
