Pretty sure I noticed Skyrim in that video - portable.
Looks like it may cater for the "core" gamer demographic this time round.

Very impressed from the 3rd party support this time round. Image stolen from twitter but confirmed on the nintendo uk web site.

Oh lawdy another console to add to the pile. Looks like it might play Wii U stuff, if so that one can join the Gamecube and other ancient tech in the loft to make room. :-) But a new Mario will be very much appreciated!
I be interested in one, but sticking point will be the price, and price for games.

Looks interesting but Makes me think this is what the WII U should have been.
As long as it's Nintendo being Nintendo and not Nintendo trying to compete with Sony/M$ I'm sure it'll do just fine... Looks better than WiiU to be sure.
Agree. Bought and sold Wii-U within a month. Thought it was shit.
Not having earlier cartridge based Nintendo's I am not sure but aside from the obvious reasons for them using cartridges does this also help to reduce piracy ?? I know it doesn't stop it.
They had a huge list of 3rd party supporters at the build up to the WiiU release too, but when they system failed from day 1 none of them came through with any software.
This news doesnt really show anything surprising, but maybe thats a good thing, it does do something that isnt fully offered by existing devices, and with Nintendo software it will have the edge over anything similar anyway.
Video shows an inverted version of 90's hip hop duo Kid & Play @1:40, so props for that.
So you can "take the game with you".... but will it be like the WiiU's controller then? or will you be able to leave the room with it and the software "RUNS" on the controller?

as far as we know, the entire console is the tablet part. The thing plugged into the tv is just some kind of dock, although there were rumours that the dock could have some hardware to give it a little more va va voom, this hasnt been officially mentioned.
With the controller, backward compatibility with Wii/WiiU games may be a issue. With reprogramming each game would take time. I haven't finished Mario world 1&2 yet.

Hardly surprising. I imagine they'll still put a load out on the virtual store though.

The first Nintendo console that I now have zero interest in buying. Utter shite.
